Red Bull’s newly launched platform for social innovators – Amaphiko Academy – is an 8-day intensive programme aimed at developing social entrepreneurs.
Applications for the first UK Red Bull Amaphiko Academy are now open and they are looking for 20 social founders who are passionate about driving positive change in their community.
The global programme is already successful in fifteen locations – including Johannesburg, São Paulo, and Baltimore – and has supported over 120 talented, emerging social entrepreneurs.
Amaphiko Academy features development programmes and tools, such as Academies and workshops, digital know-how and resources for social entrepreneurs, and networking events connecting the entrepreneurs to a supportive worldwide community.
Following the 8-day programme, each applicant will be partnered with a mentor to develop a business and personal strategic development plan, while receiving support for the next 18 months to level up their social project.
Successful applicants will collaborate with some of the world’s leading entrepreneurs and innovators including Natalie Stewart (The Floacist and founder of FLO Vortex), Shazia Hossen (founder of Strong Habibita Athletics and female empowerment advocate), June Sarpong (MBE, broadcaster and presenter), Charlie Dark (founder of Run Dem Crew, DJ and community mentor) and Sade Brown (founder of social enterprise Sour Lemons).
Deadline for applying is 31st May 2019 and the programme starts on 28th September 2019.
