Startup Africa Roadtrip launches its accelerator program – Next Generation Africa – for African innovators looking to make a difference both locally and globally.
The Next Generation Africa project is searching for 20 African startups, makers, and young talents with interests in developing prodcuts or services with high potential to driving a sustainable impact within the local economy.
Startup Africa Roadtrip is a not-for-profit with the mission of driving social innovation in East African local ecosystem.
Selected applicants will get access to a tailored boot camp week in Kampala, Uganda in August 2021, which includes mentorship to the finalist startups to take off in the market, networking with business angels, prototyping support plus the possibility to take part in an Italian startup roadshow.
Eligibility for the Next Generation Africa accelerator:
- The startup must be based in Africa and its product/service must have potential application/scalability in the East African region – Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, South Sudan;
- The average age of the team must be 25 years old;
- The project should fit in one of these six social impact themes – Sustainable Economy and Mobility | Healthcare | ICT and Fintech | Agribusiness and Agritech | Education | Tourism and Hospitality.
