Connected cities: UK businesses pitch to Singapore and Malaysia

UK businesses looking to expand into South East Asia are on a connected cities mission to Singapore and Malaysia today.

The 5 day trade mission will see 10 of the best UK companies present their tech ideas to private firms, government and investors.

Organised by Innovate UK and UK Trade and Investment, the firms will be pitching ideas on how to improve urban life.

Singapore and Malaysia are part of the groups leading the way in the connected cities sector.

Lead technologist for urban living at Innovate UK, Niraj Saraf, commented: “These companies’ innovations are key to addressing the challenges that large cities face. These challenges include growing populations, increased demand for energy and the integration of technology into citizens’ everyday lives.
