Innovate UK: New Funding Programme To Fast-track UK Innovation
Innovate UK to invest up to £15 million in cutting-edge research and development projects in any technology area.
The open competition targets a whole range of technology, engineering and industrial areas.
Businesses of any size can apply and ideas can come from any area, including four sector areas of: –
- Manufacturing and materials;
- Emerging and enabling technologies;
- Health and life sciences;
- Infrastructure systems.
Proposed projects must show innovation via new products, services or processes and also have potential for quick growth.
The competition opens on 6th June and deadline for registration is 31st August by noon.
Innovate UK will fund projects costing between £25,000 and £1 million, lasting between 6 and 36 months.
This is the first of two annual open competitions under Innovate UK’s new simplified process for funding competitions – The second one is set to open in December.
