Startup Europe Week: Uniting European Regions to Support Entrepreneurs

Startup Europe Week will see all European regions uniting to support entrepreneurs in making a difference.

From 1st to 5th February, volunteers will come together to organise local mini-events and meetups to help entrepreneurs access tools needed to start their business.

The event will be taking place simultaneously in more than 40 countries and 220+ cities. It aims to promote the support available to entrepreneurs at a regional and European level.

Startup Europe Week is an initiative of Startup Europe / European Commission to draw attention to Europe’s diversity and its influence in shaping European startups.

Igor Tasic, Head of Startup Europe Week initiative, comments: “Startup Europe Week supports and strengthens regional governments prospective efforts to support entrepreneurship by making people aware that sometimes all facilities they need to get started (and create a business) are right next to them, in their city or region now.

This is an excellent approach, because it creates momentum and avoids competition among cities and regions, which is key if we want to be a true single digital market.”

More event details are still been finalised but each will have different agendas – Click the Map to see what your city is doing.
