Applications for the BBC Two Dragons’ Den next series – a pitching TV reality show – is now open to founders looking to win cash funding for their investment-ready business ideas.

Dragons’ Den is back for its 18th series and you can apply to pitch to a panel of the UK’s most successful venture capitalists who have pledged to invest their own money in the best ideas, products or inventions.

The Dragons’ Den show has been running since 2005 and the current series has seen 27 entrepreneurs accept funding offers from the Dragons with a combined total of up to £2 million.

Previous winners include 22-year-old entrepreneur Edward Holland who secured £30,000 investment from ex-career banker entrepreneur Jenny Campbell for his lorry billboard business ‘DrivenMedia’ and James Dawson, the founder of TEA+ – a new generation of vitamin-enriched ‘super teas’ – who received £75,000 equity from Tej Lalvani, CEO of Vitabiotics.

Applicants must be 18 and over to appear on the show and ideas will be assessed on several factors including growth and strength. Those below 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Entrepreneurs and startups wanting to apply can do so via an online application form by the end of April 2020.
